Art and Reconciliation Trust








	Aims & Objectives The Trust’s aim is to promote awareness of the negative effect that acts of iconoclasm can have on culture. To this end, they require the following of the memorial: The sculptural aspect of the memorial should itself be a work of art of considerable quality. When viewed from a distance, the profile of the memorial should evoke the subject matter, visually relate well to the surroundings and be sufficiently interesting to encourage closer examination Closer examination of the memorial should inform and be thought provoking, particularly with regard to the historical context and the relationship with the locality. The memorial should be accessible to all, including those with disabilities Financial provision should be made for the maintenance of the memorial in perpetuity		Patrons The Right Rev. A. S.
